The Barrelhouses on Jack Daniel's premises play a very important role in the whisky process. It is in these buildings that the new casks of whisky are placed and matured over the Years. It was in memory of one of the Distillery's oldest and most famous casks, a 7-storey building aptly named Barrelhouse 1", that the first of these bottles was put on the market in the summer of 1994. This first batch of these 94 proof whisky bottles is the most common a collector may encounter, although a much smaller second batch was produced in the winter of 1999".
