First time in 100 Years Jack Daniel's made a Rye whiskey. The first batch, unaged product, was sold as a Limited Edition in the US. Release was at the end of 2012. This Rested Tennessee Rye is the second of a total of 3 Rye's they bring to market. The predecessor of the Rested Rye was the Unaged Rye (0 year Barrel matured) and in 2017 the final product was launched on the market Straight Rye and Single Barrel Straight Rye.
